The magnetic separation tailings discarding process of the magnetic separator is  use the permanent magnet intermediate strong magnetic separation machine for wet magnetic separation tailings discarding after the ore gginding to 5mm or 3mm less.This process is of great significance for saving energy, reducing consumption, effectively utilizing extremely poor iron ore and improving the quality of final iron concentrate.To the development and utilization of less than 20% of the iron ore grade, experimental study on using high pressure roller mill the ore finely below 3 mm, strong midfield wet magnetic separation in addition to the 40% coarse tailings, grinding into the material of iron grade up to 40%, after grinding reelection again won the final iron concentrate, the process final iron concentrate grade of 65% above, SiO2 content below 4%, tailings grade is below 10%.In addition, the plant adopts hammer crushing machine - wet permanent magnet intermediate strong magnetic separation technology, the particle size of the selected material is -5mm, accounting for more than 80%, can discard the yield of about 30%-40% of the coarse tailings.
