Maintenance of Srping Cone Crusher
(1) When the cone crusher is running, note the followings:
a) Ores must be fed in the middle of distribution disk. Adding ores into crushing chamber directly is not allowed. Otherwise, overload and uneven wearing may occur.
Correct feeding:
i. Ores are aligned in the crushing chamber evenly
ii. Ores can not exceed the horizontal plane of bowl liner
b) The max. ore size doesnt equal the max. feeding outlet size.
c) Load starting is not allowed.
d) When shutdown the machine, ore feeding must be stopped at first. Once all ores entered into the crushing chamber are crushed and discharged, user may shutdown the machine.
e) Main parts may be damaged by unbreakable material frequently enters into the crushing chamber. Therefore user must take in charge to avoid unbreakable material frequently enters into the crushing chamber. Such as equip metal detector or magnet to remove metal from ores.
(2) The output is relating to feeding type, ore size, discharging size, physical parameter of ores, moisture and so on. Therefore, great changes are in the scope of the production output.
(3) Adjustment of discharging gate.
a) Due to the wear of bowl liner, the size of discharging gate increases. Adjusting the discharging gate regularly is required.
(4) Adjustment of spring
a) The spring is used for protecting machine from unbreakable materials enter into crushing chamber. The spring remains the same when the operation is normal, it will only be compressed when the machine is overloaded.
b) It is unusual that crushing cone jumps. If the spring is compressed wrongly, it causes damages of machinery parts. Due to the compress of spring causes the increase of crushing power.
Causes of crushing cone jumps:
i. Uneven feeding to over feeding
ii. Too many small or powder ores
iii. Discharging gate too small
(5) Replacement of bowl liner
a) Bowl liner is installed on adjusting ring by U type bolt.
b) When installing or replacing the bowl liner, when the cone crusher has been running for 6-8 hours, user should check the fastening condition of the bowl liner, and re-tighten the U type bolt. If the bowl liner is loosing, then the machine is not allowed to start.
(6) Replacement of crushing cavity
a) The crushing cavity is fastened on the body by steeple head. The cone crusher is only allowed to start once the crushing cavity is fastened. Otherwise, the crushing cavity and the kirksite between crushing cavity and body will be damaged.
b) When installing or replacing the crushing cavity, when the cone crushing has been running for 6-8 hours, user should check the fastening condition of the crushing cavity.
Kirksite proportion: Aluminum (Al) =5%; Copper (Cu) =4.25%; Tin (Sn) =1.94%; Others Zinc (Zn)

(7) Bevel gear
As wearing so the disk has worn away, this will influence the bevel gear space. The overall thickness of disk should be checked two times every year.

(8) Bowl type shaft
a) When the maintenance is in process, rescrape the bowl type gap block support spherical surface, to make sure the crushing cone spherical surface contacts the bowl type gap block in excircle. The contact length is 0.3-0.5R, and remain 0.3-0.5mm cuniform space along inner circumference. Shown as fig 13.

b) When the machine is running, the contact condition of bowl type gap block should be taken attention. The crushing cone spherical surface can not contact the bowl type gap block inner circumference.
c) The contact spot of crushing cone spherical surface and bowl type gap block is not allowed to be less than 1 in every 25 x 252 area.
d) The bowl type gap block must be tightened with the frame.

(9) The bushing and the stander adopt transition fit. When replacing bushing, the size refers to the actual size of the stander hole.
(10) The kirksite poured into the middle of shaft housing and excentric sleeve is for avoiding the rotating motion of the shaft housing. The kirksite should full of gaps. The shaft housing may becomes deformed due to heat pouring of kirksite, so once new shaft housing has installed well, check the size of D1d1, D2d2, B and so on. Shown as fig 14.
(11) The gap of excentric sleeve and stander bushing should be in accord with the gap of principle axis cone shaped spot and shaft housing. A=2-2.35mm; b=2.8-3.04mm; c=9.5-9.8mm. Shown as fig 15.
(12) Water seal and dustproof device
a) In order to protect the lubricating oil from getting dirty, and protect main machinery parts from getting dusted, water seal and dustproof device is required. User should pay attention:

No dirty water
No too much water feeding
Check the return water condition frequently
Check the condition of annular ring and dustproof ring, and clean the sink.
