At present, there are many kinds of magnetic separators used at home and abroad, with different classification methods. According to different characteristics, there are the following classification methods.
1. according to the magnetic source of magnetic separator can be divided into permanent magnetic separator and electromagnetic magnetic separator.
2. according to the strength of the magnetic field, it can be divided into:
(1) weak magnetic field magnetic separator, magnetic field strength H0=72 ~ 136 kva/m, magnetic field force H0= (2.5 ~ 5.0) 1011 2/ m.;
(2) medium magnetic field magnetic separator, magnetic pole surface magnetic field strength H0=160 ~ 480 KWH/m;
(3) strong magnetic field magnetic separator, magnetic field intensity H0 -- 480 1600 kva/m, magnetic field force HgradH=(1.5 ~ 6.0) 1013 2/ m 3.
3. according to the separation process of medium can be divided into dry magnetic separator and wet magnetic separator.
4.according to the type of magnetic field can be divided into constant magnetic field, pulsating magnetic field and alternating magnetic field magnetic separator.
5. according to the body shape and structure, it is divided into belt type magnetic separator, drum type magnetic separator, roller type magnetic separator, disk type magnetic separator, ring type magnetic separator, cage type magnetic separator and pulley type magnetic separator.The magnetic field intensity and the type of dielectric structure are used to distinguish them.The weak magnetic separator is mainly used for separation of strong magnetic minerals, such as magnetite, titanium magnetite, ferrosilicon.Before the industry is mostly electromagnetic magnetic system, the body shape is mostly cylindrical and belt, now mostly permanent magnetic system and cylindrical, and wet application is more widely.At home and abroad in the past in terms of strong magnetic field magnetic separator mainly adopts sorting granularity coarser dry magnetic separation machine for non-ferrous metals and rare metals mineral, nearly 10 years, for selecting low grade, fine disseminated extent are weak magnetic minerals and mineral composition complex, has developed various kinds of wet magnetic separation machine, such as ring, cage, disc type.Medium-field separator is mainly used to separate the locally oxidized ferromagnetic ore
