Why are the coarse grains difficult to float,what can we do?
Rough grinding can save grinding cost and reduce cost. When the flotation plant processing the uneven inlaid ores on the premise of ensuring the recovery rate of coarse separation,there is a tendency to coarsen grinding sizes.However, due to the relatively heavy coarse particles, it is not easy to be suspended in the flotation machine, and the chance of collision with bubbles is reduced.In addition, the coarse particles attached to the bubble, due to the large shedding force, easy to fall off from the bubble.Therefore, the flotation effect of coarse particles is poor under general process conditions.In order to improve the effect of coarse particle flotation, the following technological measures can be adopted:
(1) We can use the collector with strong collecting force, and can also add kerosene, diesel and other auxiliary collectors to strengthen the collection of coarse particles, increase the adhesion ability and fixation strength of ore particles and bubbles, reduce shedding.
(2) appropriately increase the mass fraction of pulp and increase its buoyancy.On the premise of ensuring the stability of the foam layer, proper stirring was carried out to promote the suspension of coarse particles and increase the chance of adhesion with bubbles.
(3) appropriately increase the air filling capacity of the flotation machine, resulting in large bubbles and the formation of "floating mass" formed by large and small bubbles, which has a large lifting buoyancy and can carry coarse particles to float.
(4) adopt shallow trough flotation machine to shorten the floating distance of mineralized bubbles and reduce the separation of ore particles from bubbles.Or the use of suitable for coarse particle flotation of the special flotation machine.
(5) the rapid and stable foam scraping device is adopted to scrape the floating mineralized foam out in time to reduce the re-falling of ore particles.
